The Awesome Con Short Film Festival is presented annually at Awesome Con. Each year fans gather to watch specially selected short films in the categories of comedy, drama, horror, action, science fiction, documentaries, and more.
This year we will be celebrating one of the festival’s favorite cinematic devices, the “Long Take” or the “Oner” by presenting a new festival category and award called “Best One-Shot” to a film that has the best “Long Take”.

HISTORY OF THE AWESOME CON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
The Awesome Con Short Film Festival started six years ago and is one of Awesome Con’s most celebrated events. Featuring indie short films from around the world, the ACSFF has played host to amazing works spanning science fiction, fantasy, action, comedy, drama, and more. Going online in 2020, the ACSFF was presented across a full week in December reaching pop culture fans and cinephiles around the world!
Joe Carabeo is a cross platform artist on a journey to discover new ways to be more than just a storyteller. Armed with a Photography and Film undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Joe has been a constant content creator since the days when he wanted to be a comic book artist in grade school.
