What is a Photo Op like? A photo op is a professionally taken photo with a celebrity guest(s) in front of a backdrop. Photo Ops are conducted by our partner, Epic Experiences. They will print an 8×10 copy of your photo immediately after your session. If you would like additional copies or digital copies, they are available for purchase. THIS IS A QUICK SNAP WITH LITTLE TO NO OPPORTUNITY FOR CHATTING. If you would like the chance to speak with the guest for a minute or two, you’ll want to get an autograph.

What is an Autograph like? An autograph ticket allows you to choose one 8×10 photo to have signed in person by a celebrity guest. You may also bring your own item to be signed, but certain guests may have restrictions or upcharges. You can typically find that information on their listing. If you’re hoping to exchange a few words with a celebrity guest, this is your best opportunity to do so!

Admission to Awesome Con is required for both experiences, and your badge must be valid for the same day as your session. Autograph and Photo Op tickets do not include Awesome Con admission. You must purchase an admission badge separately here or at Registration when you arrive.

Autograph and Photo Op prices, times, and guests are subject to change. If a guest cancels their appearance, autographs and photo ops for that guest will be refunded; however, your Awesome Con admission will not.

CGC x JSA Authentication and Grading

CGC x JSA is the official authentication and grading service at Awesome Con. JSA will be providing witness and on-site authentication for items signed at the event, or submit items previously signed from your own collection. Trusted by all major auction houses, dealers and collectors, CGC x JSA certification enhances any collectible’s value and marketability.

FAQs

Autographs & Photo Ops

Pre-sales of autographs and photo ops are a guest’s discretion. Should they not offer a pre-sale through Epic Experiences, you will be able to purchase it directly at their table.

The schedule for autograph and photo op sessions is released closer to the event, but is always subject to change without notice.

Once they go on sale, you can view autograph and photo op pricing and pre-purchase them via the Epic Experiences website.

If the celebrity autograph or photo op you’re looking for is not listed for pre-purchase, they may have opted to sell on-site only.

Generally, any item that is not a standard 8×10 photo is considered a premium item and would require a Premium Autograph ticket.

While we do encourage you to pre-order, if they do not sell out of autographs or photo ops online, you will be able to purchase them on-site.

If a guest’s autograph or photo op has sold out online, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to purchase an autograph or photo op on-site. We encourage you to inquire on-site, but please be aware that your request may not be able to be accommodated.

Many guests will accept both cash or credit, but you will need to confirm at their table.

No, you do not. But in order to redeem your autograph or photo op, you must have a badge valid for the day of the autograph or photo op.

It is up to each guest whether they will take a selfie or not. If they indicate in advance that they will take selfies, it will be listed on their autograph page on the Epic Experiences website; otherwise, you would need to ask at their table.

Closer to the event, Epic Experiences will email you an updated confirmation with your time slot.

Only certain guests may have time slots assigned for their autograph sessions. If the guest does not have time slots, your autograph ticket is good to be redeemed at any time a guest is signing on the day the ticket is valid for. Their schedules will be posted on the schedule closer to the event, but we strongly encourage you to verify their schedule at their tables, as all times are subject to change.

One autograph ticket gets you one signature. While most guests will sign personal items (there may be an extra charge) they reserve the right to decline to sign items at their discretion.

Unless otherwise stated, up to four (4) people (not including the guest) can be in a photo op.

A photo op is a professionally taken photo in front of a backdrop by our partner, Epic Experiences. Minutes after the photo is taken, you will receive a printed copy (a digital copy is also available for purchase).

A selfie would be a photo taken at the guest’s table using your phone.
