How hyped are you guys for #AwesomeConOnline? We’re thrilled to announce that Ross Marquand (The Walking Dead, Avengers: End Game) and Zachary Levi (Tangled, Shazam!) will be popping by to get in on all of the virtual con action. They’ll be doing a LIVE Q&A with fans on Saturday, May 2!
When can I watch the Q&A?
Ross Marquand will be doing his Live Q&A Saturday, May 2 from 1:30 PM EDT – 2:00 PM EDT, and Zachary Levi will be doing his Live Q&A Saturday, May 2 from 2:00 PM EDT – 3:00 PM EDT. Please note: the Q&A may continue on Zoom after 3:00 PM however the Facebook Live will resume to regularly scheduled panels at 3:10 PM. You are able to stay on Zoom if it runs over.
Where can I watch the Q&A?
The live panel will be broadcast to Awesome Con’s Facebook page as a live feed, as well as on Zoom.
How can I ask a question during the Q&A?
- To ask a question during the Q&A, you must be in the Zoom and not the Facebook. Make sure you have signed up for a Zoom account ahead of time. It is free but there are also paid options. Once you are logged into Zoom, during the time the Q&A is happening, you would click the option on your screen that says “Raise Hand.”
- If you are selected to ask Ross or Zachary a question, you will be automatically moved into a separate Zoom called Panelists. Your Zoom screen may disappear for a few second during this transition but you do not need to do anything. You will be automatically reentered into the Zoom as a Panelist and you will be on Mute. When the moderators call on you, they will Unmute you and you can ask your question. During your question, your video feed will be live as well as your microphone, so please do a quick check of your Zoom settings before clicking “Raise Hand” to ensure your microphone and video feed is working. After you are done asking your question, you will be Muted again but remain a Panelist. Please do not Unmute yourself. Please keep your question less than 30 seconds and PG-13.
- As soon as your question is answered, you will be removed from the room as a Panelist and automatically reenter the room as an Attendee. As before, your Zoom screen may disappear for a few seconds during this transition but you do not need to do anything. You will be automatically reentered into the Zoom as an Attendee.
How can I ask a second question?
To ask a second question simply click “Raise Hand” again. The above details still apply.
Will these Q&A be ASL Interpreted?
They sure will! Our friends at Blue Sun Interpreting will be there to assist those needing ASL services.
Anything else I need to know?
There sure is! Please note that the link to the Zoom meeting above will work for BOTH Q&A sessions and will not cut off in between sessions. And remember, watching via Facebook Live will be VIEW ONLY. Questions submitted via Facebook will not be monitored. OH, and one more super awesome thing!
