Your Press badge allows complimentary access during all public hours. Your Press badge does NOT allow early access or special access. Your Press badge does NOT allow you to cut lines. Your Press badge does NOT guarantee you seats. Your Press badge does NOT guarantee you autographs or free autographs from guests. Everyone attending Awesome Con as Press MUST follow all Awesome Con policies – including our anti-harassment rules.
Press Registration is open to journalists making regular editorial contributions only. Editorial Press includes Writers, Reporters, Reviewers, Producers, Photographers, and Cameramen who are attending specifically to cover Awesome Con. Non-Editorial personnel at media companies such as Marketing and Sales staff do not qualify for Press badges and will not be approved.
Press badges will not be approved for outlets created with the sole intent of obtaining free admission. If you’ve got a website that hasn’t been updated in six months, a blog that exists only to post your convention reviews, or a YouTube channel with two views, we’re sorry, but you’re not going to be approved. Awesome Con checks every application that is submitted.
Press badges are non-transferable. You may not loan or sell your Press badge, and anyone conducting such behavior will have their Press badge revoked and will be disqualified from Press badges at future Awesome Con events.
We’ve switched over to a new registration process this year and media will be getting QR Codes! Please apply individually per registrant. If you have five people under one outlet, that means we’ll need one application filled per registrant. Each registrant of the approved media outlet is individually responsible and must have their confirmed QR Code scanned upon picking up their media badge onsite. Proper identification will also need to be showcased upon arrival.
If you’d like to speak with an invited guest, please arrange this through our Press Team prior to the show after your Press badges have been approved. Interviews with talent cannot be guaranteed at the event. All our guests have approved schedules and on-site requests are very difficult to fulfill.

Awesome Con reserves the right to approve or deny any application. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Include any and all information in your application that will allow Awesome Con to make an informed decision – you won’t be able to submit further information later on.
